  • Backed by various European institutional investors (Bpifrance, France 2030, the European Investment Fund – particularly via the Defense mandate of the InvestEU programme – BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole Assurances), and several family offices, this fund has been designed to support fast-growing European deep tech scale-ups.
  • This new early growth deep tech fund follows the previous fund in the series, which invested in The Exploration Company, Sekoia.io, Quantum Systems, and Quandela, startups which all became industry references in their respective fields.
  • For this first close, the fund is undertaking a first investment in the German company ARX Robotics, specialized in unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) for the defense industry.

Omnes Capital, a leading investor in private equity and infrastructure, today announced that it has raised €112 million for the first close of the second fund in its deep tech series, Omnes Real Tech 2.

This new fund builds on the success of Omnes’ previous deep tech fund, which actively contributed to help a new generation of European tech leaders emerge. In just a few years, The Exploration Company achieved an unprecedented level of orders, both from space agencies and private clients. Quandela is already marketing its quantum computer in North America, and Quantum Systems, based in Germany, has become the first profitable European unicorn in the defense industry. This experience, gained in detecting new trends and opportunities, industrializing innovations, driving profitable growth and supporting international expansion, will directly benefit the second fund.

“With world-leading scientific research, a new generation of talented and ambitious entrepreneurs, and funding mechanisms backed by all European countries, Europe is well equipped to address today’s challenges in key sectors such as defense, industry, health, and energy.” — Michel de Lempdes, Managing Partner at Omnes Capital

Omnes Real Tech 2 is designed to support European deep tech companies throughout their early growth phase — a key stage in their evolution toward scalable industrial and business models. The fund will focus on investing in foundational sectors, such as defense and security, artificial intelligence, new space, quantum technology, electronic components, and advanced materials. It is the first fund in Europe to benefit from the Defense mandate of the European Union.

The deep tech market is experiencing very strong growth, with over € 27 billion raised by deep tech startups in Europe last year, for a growth rate of 18%. In this context, the Omnes team will continue to implement its strategy built on diversified sector and geographic exposure, with a particular focus on Germany and Italy. The strategy is designed to also provide continued support across several phases of a company’s development, including follow-on investments. The team benefits from a European network of deep tech entrepreneurs and sector experts, built over 20 years, which enables the fund to select and partner with the most promising projects on the market.
