GigaHack is the largest hackathon in Moldova, and is organised by the Moldovan NGO Technovator, with support from EU4Innovation East, a regional project funded by the European Union, co-funded by the French government and implemented by Expertise France, Innovate Moldova, UNDP, and UMAEF.
For three intense days, over 300 participants will work together to prototype and present innovative solutions, with access to an extensive network of mentors, data resources, and a robust platform to turn their ideas into reality.
This year’s edition brings ten bold challenges from the deep tech sphere. Participants will innovate in vital sectors such as EnergyTech, HealthTech, Finance, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, alongside CyberSecurity and Open Challenges. Each challenge is designed to stimulate creativity and address current topics, offering participants the chance to contribute to impactful solutions. Information about challenges is continuously added on their website, and the winner of each prize stands to win 25,000 MDL (an equivalent of more than 1,200 eur).
Technovator is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to stimulating innovation and talent development in the Republic of Moldova. Through major events such as Deeptech GigaHack, the Digital Transformation Marathon, GovTech, and the Business Innovation Summit, Technovator aims to create a dynamic tech ecosystem that supports the growth and implementation of globally impactful technological solutions.
