10 deep tech events in Europe to attend before 2025 ends

As Europe solidifies its position as a global hub for deep tech, a vibrant ecosystem of deep tech conferences and summits has emerged, offering opportunities for founders, investors, and industry leaders to connect, share knowledge, and forge the collaborations that will shape our collective future.

Although we’re more than halfway through 2025, some of the biggest deep tech industry events are still ahead of us. In this listicle, we’ve gathered the must-attend deep tech events in Europe closing out the year. Read on and mark your calendars for some deep tech networking!

1.  NORDEEP Deep Tech Business Summit

NORDEEP describes itself as the most prominent deep tech business summit in the Nordics. The event brings together startups, investors, researchers, students, industry experts, and other professionals related to the deep tech environment based in the Nordics and the Baltics.

Besides an agenda filled with keynotes and discussions, NORDEEP offers showcase options for startups, matchmaking, networking, official side events, industry workshops, and more – all designed to help deep tech businesses grow and thrive. This is one of the top deep tech events Europe has on offer.

When: 2-3 October

Where: Espoo, Finland

2. Deep Tech CEE Summit

As the name suggests, this European deep tech event is dedicated to bringing together deep tech enthusiasts from the CEE region. However, that’s not all the Deep Tech CEE Summit is. The Summit kicks off with Investor Day, followed by a two-day summit program. 

The Investor Day provides matchmaking for 150+ investors and corporations and 150+ pre-selected deep tech projects. Additionally, there are plenty of side events and meetups to attend for those looking for niche contacts. 

When: 27-29 October

3. Barcelona Deep Tech Summit

Another deep tech event gathering industry professionals in Europe, but this time in sunny Barcelona. While the Barcelona Deep Tech Summit is hosted by the well-known Smart City Expo World Congress, it focuses solely on the deep tech ecosystem. 

This annual deep tech industry meeting point offers three tracks for its 2025 edition – The Future of Life and Planet, Computing and Tech Sovereignty, and From Lab to Market. Plus, startups are welcome to exhibit their products and solutions. 

When: 4-6 November

Horizon Deep Tech Summit

4. Horizon Deep Tech Summit 2025

Hosted in Madrid, Horizon Deep Tech Summit distinguishes itself with a two-day structure – Day 1 is an exclusive VIP event and Day 2 is a public event. If you’re lucky enough to be among the VIPs, the Summit promises keynotes, Unicorn Night, Deep Tech Stakeholder Sessions, and an Investor Party. For those attending the public event only, keynotes, roundtables, networking sessions, and side events are on the table. 

When: 26-27 November

Where: Madrid, Spain

5. AI & Big Data Expo

Next up on our list are a bunch of events with a deep tech focus that are not necessarily deep tech events. That includes the AI & Big Data Expo in Amsterdam this September. The event is a key part of the TechEx Europe series and brings together five co-located events under one roof. While its focus is on AI and Big Data for a “smarter future,” it includes topics that are central to deep tech, making this Expo worthy of attending. Plus, it’s one of the central AI-related events in Europe.

When: 24-25 September

Where: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Any extras? It’s co-located with other expos, including IoT, Digital Transformation, Cyber Security, and more

6. Web Summit

Another non-deep tech event that pays worthwhile attention to the deep tech industry is the well-known Web Summit. It’s a major tech event and a significant platform for the deep tech community. Attendees can hear from top speakers, meet investors, and mingle with tech enthusiasts from Europe and beyond. As one of the premier tech events Europe 2025 has to offer, it’s a must-attend for anyone in the space.

When: 11-14 November

Where: Lisbon, Portugal

7. 3rd International Summit on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

To provide a more comprehensive view of the deep tech landscape, we have also included four specialized niche events in this list. One such event is the International Summit on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (ISRAI). From a deep tech perspective, this conference is a significant platform for exploring the next generation of intelligent systems. The agenda goes beyond conventional robotics to include advanced topics such as Quantum Machine Learning, Generative AI for Robotics, Surgical Robotics, and Human-Centered AI. This focus on cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary applications positions the summit as a key event for those at the forefront of the technological revolution in robotics.

8. Quantum.Tech 

Another event suited to a particular segment of deep tech event attendees is Quantum.Tech. Dedicated to “finding the role of quantum in a commercial world”, this event unites quantum practitioners for a dynamic three-day gathering. Quantum.Tech offers a comprehensive quantum agenda, exhibition, pitching competition for quantum startups, and more. If you’re into quantum, this is your chance to meet plenty of like-minded professionals and take your business to the next level.

When: 29 September-1 October

Where: Rotterdam, Netherlands

9. Techritory

Previously known as 5G Techritory, last year this event ditched the 5G and re-invented itself as Techritory, aiming to serve as an ecosystem that fosters collaborative technology innovations rather than focusing on the transformative power of 5G connectivity alone. In 2025, Techritory has chosen digitalization and connectivity as its main agenda track.

While this is not specifically a deep tech event, it gathers plenty of deep tech-related practitioners, and most importantly, very prominent decision-makers, both governmental and corporate. If you’re looking to hear and meet some very high-level tech industry speakers from Europe, Techritory is the place to be.

When: 22-23 October

Where: Riga, Latvia

10. SynbiTECH2025

SynbiTECH is a niche event dedicated to synthetic and engineering biology. Dedicated to fostering innovation and offering niche content, this event provides synbiology industry insights alongside networking opportunities. This specialization makes it a key event for professionals in that field. Plus, SynbiTECH takes pride in hosting a notable number of biotech startups every year.

When: 9-10 December

Where: London, UK

Deep tech events in Europe – to attend or not to attend? 

Now that we’ve offered you some deep tech event options that add to your calendar for the remaining part of 2025, you may be thinking – ok, but should I attend industry events at all? Is it worth it? Is it the best option to expand my network? While those are all valid questions, our short answer to all of them would be – do it. 

Events are a great way to meet people you wouldn’t meet otherwise, even if you’re from the same industry. Whether you pick an event from our listicle or feel inspired to search for something that interests you and is not here, that’s up to you.
