Filuta AI raises €3.7M to build composite AI solutions for gaming

Filuta AI, the patent-holding Czech startup has raised €3.7M in seed funding in a round led by Rockaway Ventures.

The company builds advanced tools enabling the commercial use of composite artificial intelligence. It offers a platform that enables the creation of complex AI solutions, such as the creation of autonomous agents for testing digital simulations. Filuta AI owns several patented composite AI solutions that protect this technology in the gaming and electronic toys segment, in the aerospace or automotive industry, in the defense industry (military simulators) and in other areas.

The main benefit of deploying composite AI is the multi-fold increase in efficiency. Composite AI combines different AI technologies and techniques to create a more complex and capable system. As a result, it can solve the most complex tasks and is both faster and more accurate than conventional machine learning, which is most often thought of as AI.

“A specific example from the gaming industry is illustrative. Here, a total of 72 testers needed three weeks of time to test a new game, while the deployment of AI makes it possible to reduce this time to two days. Our goal is to capture more than ten percent of the global market in this area.” – Filip Dvořák, founder of Filuta AI

Filuta AI was founded in 2022 by Filip Dvořák, who holds a PhD from Charles University, and is ex-Google and PARC. Just a year into developing he company, they raised a record investment of nearly $56 million in a pre-seed round. The company’s intention is to prepare the company for a Series A investment round in the second half of 2026. Filuta AI will use the funds raised primarily to create new jobs and further grow the company.

We will indeed strengthen our team significantly – in September we should go from 33 today to 43 people, including 20 scientists with PhDs and four professors in AI who are internationally recognized leaders in the field. This will create one of the strongest AI development teams in the country. This will allow us to significantly shorten the development of our products and further accelerate our growth,” says Filip.

Symbolic AI works with models explicitly described by systems of equations whose outputs can always be fully explained and audited (e.g. predicate calculus). In addition, subsymbolic AI (neural networks, language models) is inspired by the reasoning of the human brain and functions as a statistical aggregate that is only as good as the quality of the input data. Composite AI is then the science of automatically composing symbolic and subsymbolic models to efficiently solve practical real-world problems. Symbolic AI is, for example, the most effective modeling approach for causal reasoning, where language models fail, but language models are instead useful for creating interfaces of communication with the user, or translating between two well-defined symbolic models.

“It has been a long time since we came across a startup with such strong fundamentals and growth potential that the resulting risk-to-reward ratio simply could not be overlooked. Filuta has the parameters of a world-class startup: it is a technology leader and disruptor in its industry, it offers highly scalable solutions with overlap beyond the gaming industry, it is targeting huge markets with clear demand, and it is backed by an extremely capable and committed team led by its founder,” says Ladislav Šelepa of Tarpan Partners, which was the manager of the investment round and invested in Filuta AI itself. “Breaking into the world of symbolic AI is not easy. Of course, only time will tell if we have hit another Czech unicorn. At the moment, however, we believe in success and we are happy to be there,” adds Ladislav Šelepa.
